How to make a Sponge Cake.
W.A.L.T: write a procedural writing.
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 Cup Chelsea White Sugar
- 1 Tbsp flour in cup. Fill up rest of cup with cornflour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 Tbsp boiling water
Method:
- Firstly carefully separate the egg yolk from the egg white.
- Put egg white into bowl.
- Mix egg white and add hot water and stir until stiff.
- Add sugar and slowly and beat the egg white until sugar dissolved.
- Mix in the egg yolk and stir until you form stiff white peaks.
- Fold flour, corn flour and baking powder into the bowl and fold carefully.
- Grease the cake tin with butter and flour and carefully tip into round sponge tin and bake at 180 for 20 - 25 minutes.
- When finished carefully drop the sponge on the bench.
