My report wrinting is about the report about the flooding of wellington in 1953, the highlighted parts are, the blue is topic the pink is example the green is explanation about why.
Wellington flood
Floods have plagued the city through its history, especially in the Hutt Valley, where the destructive Hutt River forced early colonists to flee to the other side of the harbour.
Deadly and devastating floods in recorded history date back to at least 1858, when nine people died in Taita after the Hutt River's banks burst.
Other years evoke other tragedies - 1898, when water rose 90 centimetres in half an hour in the Hutt; 1997, when two people died as slips plagued the region and most recently 2004, when another Hutt waterway, Waiwhetu Stream, burst its banks and inundated homes.There was extensive rainfall in the region with slips and surface flooding that cut off all communication to the area.
Greater Wellington works with our region's communities to manage the flood risk from rivers in our catchments. To manage the flood risk is to understand rivers and floodplain processes and provide a floodplain management plans in partnership with the community. Through testing and experimenting the most effective approach is through the development of flood risk management programmes is through the following elements:
Prevention: by building bankments by the rivers.
Protection: trees native areas are protected
Preparedness: work with the council and community to have a plan in place
Emergency response: have contact numbers in place
Recovery and lessons learned: returning to normal conditions as soon as possible and mitigating both the social and economic impacts on the affected population.

My Rice Report
Rice
Why is rice a good food for athletes? White rice is an awesome carb source you can add it into your diet to hit your targeted carb numbers. It's basically pure starch without the anti-nutrients and potential food sensitivities of other carb sources.
Brown rice and other whole grains contain phytic acid, which blocks absorption of minerals and may cause digestive irritation. It depends on what sort of athlete you are if you're a weightlifter it's good for you and if you're a gymnast then it's not good for you it will make you gain weight if you don't burn it off fast enough.
There's a problem with brown rice and other "whole grains" that make white rice a better choice. The problem? Phytic acid. Despite the verdict from the court of public opinion and most dieticians, white rice is superior to brown rice and other whole grains.

King Street Bridge
This story is about a girl who gets bullied from two girls act like bullies and goes to a bridge to feed tuna to cheer her up and her best mate come to see her to cheer her up and the two girls that bullies her wait for her in the bush to beat her up.
But at the end the two girls end up helping her she was just paranoid.
My favorite part was when she was feeding the tuna because I love tuna just as much as her.
I recumend guys to not bully people because it can lead to bad things I know case it's happened to me

The Anzac Test Nz vs Auzzie
The Anzac Test
Nz vs Auzzie
The Australian Kangaroos have beaten the Kiwis 16-0 in the ANZAC test. The game was played in Newcastle, Australia losing three test matches straight against the New Zealanders. The Kangaroos scored two first half tries through fullback Darius Boyd, he is one of the best fullback in the game. He always plays good. Centre Greg Inglis, is one of the best centers in the game. That is the first time he has played good in like two years. To take a 10-0 lead at the break.
After the break the kiwis kicked off and then the kangaroos took is up to the try line. The kangaroos kicked it for the line then a kiwi player grabbed it and saved a try. Then he ran it and got tackled. Then he had to kick it. He smashed it hard like a rocket coming out of a rocket launcher. Then the game was over the kangaroos won they were jumping up and down like a kangaroo and yelling so loud like a elephant.

Kids can persuasive
Kids can
I believe that if we didn’t have Kids Can Tautoro school would be not as good as it is.
Did you know Kids Can is the best? Kids Can is like Santa Claus to Tautoro school. One reason why I think Kids Can is magnificent is because they give us things like hats, bars, scroggins, nit shampoo, badges, jackets, pants, shoes and hand sanitizer. If your kids were walking in the freezing wind and rain everyday and then they got a jacket and a pair shoes they will be jumping up and down with happiness. If your child don’t get stuff from Kids Can you will be devastated when you see other people with Kids Can stuff.
But we get heaps free stuff like milk from fonterra, sport gear and many more.
The second reason why Kids Can is cool is because it makes kids want come to school.They can come and have a toast for breakfast. When your kids walk to school when it is raining and walking through cold puddles.Kids won’t go to school if they don’t have Kids Can.
In summary I think that Kids can is cool because it helps everybody and gives them stuff to learn about.

WALT Use place value to show your workings out of this problem
84 x 16 = 1344
Use place value to show your workings out of this problem
8 x 16 = 128 = (80 x 16 = 1280)
4 x 16 = 64
∴84 x 16 = 1344
Use doubling and halving to show how repeated addition works.
84 x 16 =
÷4 x4
21 x 64 =
20 x 60 = 2400
21 x 64= 1344
∴84 x 16 = 1344
Use rounding and compensating to show how skip counting works.
168X8=800+480+64=1344
∴84X16=1344
Use words to explain your problem solving thinking.
eight times sixteen equals one hundred and twenty eight so eight times sixteen equals one thousand two hundred and eighty. four times sixteen equals sixty four. So eighty four times sixteen equals one thousand three hundred and fourty four.

79x3=237
3x7=21
3x70=210
3x9=27
210+27=237
Use doubling and halving to show how repeated addition works
79x3=237
79x2x3➗2=

Use rounding and compensating to show how skip counting works.
79x3=237

80x3-1x7
=240-3
=237
79 x 3
Use words to explain your problem solving thinking.
seventy nine times three equals two hundred and thirty seven
three times seventy equals two hundred and ten
three times nine equals twenty seven
and then add two hundred and ten and twenty seven
so there for seventy nine times three equals two hundred and thirty seven.
